TILT is an Amsterdam-based in-disciplinary platform with a focus on artistic research and creation, realisation and presentation of performance and visual arts works by choreographer and artist Andrea Božić, visual artist and performance maker Julia Willms, and associate artist - theatre and performance artist Billy Mullaney. TILT also engages in the development of discourse, workshops, educational and curatorial activities departing from artistic practice and theory. TILT is co-founded with sound artist Robert Pravda.
TILT artists make in-disciplinary works that re-organize space, attention and perception, exploring how spectatorship, imagination and spectacle are intertwined, embodied and how they feel in the eras of globalism and digitalisation. They work in interdisciplinary performance, audio-visual installation and visual art. Recents works include performances Within Cells Interlinked, Dream Archive: Live Collection, How To Exit a Reality (Attempt 1 of 19), The Glory Machine, PoroCity, SEMESTER, and audio-visual installations Civil Twilight, The Cube, Looking Glass-House and Zandloper (Hourglass).
Since 2024, TILT is developing a performative-cinematic multiverse under the title LUNARIS, a fictional shared world embedded in the real world which hosts a constellation of artistic works as a transmedia labyrinth: several performances and audio-visual performative installations and related smaller works by all three TILT artists.
TILT artists have presented their work across the fields of performing art, visual art, sound art in the Netherlands and internationally, collaborating with a plethora of partners: Frascati, SPRING Performing Arts Festival, Oerol, KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen, Veem House for Performance, Vooruit, HAU, ImPulsTanz, Centre Pompidou Metz, Museum Sinclair House, Reina Sofia Museum, Cinedans, among many others.
TILT receives structural subsidy from the Amsterdam Fund for the Art for the period 2025-2028.
